Internship

We have already selected two candidates or 2020. We look forward to receiving your application for 2021 and 2022!

Have you always wanted to work in a nature park?

We offer interested candidates the opportunity to complete a five-month internship in Nature Park Management (from May to September/October). The areas of responsibility are varied and broad and extend from public relations work to project management all the ways up to environmental education for school groups and outdoor activities like the guided thematic hiking tours offered as part of the Nature Park summer programme. During its operations, the Nature Park implements specific projects in the areas of nature protection, environmental education, research, tourism and regional development.
On one hand, the focus areas of intern responsibility are the projects that are already in progress. On the other hand, the internship includes management of the Nature Park House and the Nature Park exhibition housed there. A further area of responsibility deals with public relations work – from writing and publishing press articles, to content management of the homepage and answering various inquiries. The scope of the internship offers exciting insight into the management operations of a nature reserve and gives you, in your role as intern, the chance to bring your own ideas to fruition!
Prerequisites for application include: enrolment in a part- or full-time study programme in the fields of geography, biology, ecology or similar study fields, the ability to communicate well with people, the ability to work as team member and, above all, the ability to work alone and independently. Preference is given to college or university students interested in writing their Bachelor's or Master's dissertations in the Nature Park. The dissertation theme can include any topics relevant to the Nature Park and can receive administrative support from Nature Park staff insofar as content is concerned.
Please submit your application documents by Oktober 15th, including a cover letter and a CV, to the High Mountain Nature Park of the Zillertal Alps. The address for applications is: GF Willi Seifert, Naturparkhaus 6295 Ginzling 239. Digital communications are also gladly received if sent to willi.seifert@naturpark-zillertal.at

If you have any other questions, please call Willi Seifert at +43 (0)664 1205405. We're looking forward to your application!
