Zillertal valley has always been hallmarked by its unique (agri)cultural landscape. Mitterstall, the former livestock feeding areas, is an important mountain farming cultural heritage. After the renovation work on the building, which is protected as a historic monument, was completed, it served as a home in Mitterstall for the Nature Park exhibition displaying the Brandberg cultural landscape over the course of time. The exhibition describes the difficult conditions farmers faced in the Alpine countryside. In telling the history, the inhabitants themselves are able to tell their own tale.
